Vintage is totally in...

Evil tongues say that most men doesn't know anything about fashion (and scale modellers even less)... So, to shut some mouths, here's one of the coolest trends: a vintage look for your scale model kits.

Virages brings us a good pile of new retro logos decals. Those fond of aged tasting kits will love the oldest Castrol logos, while others such as the Wynn's decals confirms that the Eighties are in full swing.

Another beauty from the past: the legendary "gull winged" Mercedes Benz 300SL, an irresistible icon to movie stars like Clark Gable or Sophia Loren. This scale kit by Tamiya will bring you back to times with tons of glamour, the fifties. Want some jewellery and nail polish to embellish this kit as it deserves? And in the seventies, inspiration comes from the last issue of Joe Honda books available now for pre-order.

13 years old!!

Everybody knows that number 13 is not welcome at the races, but it really feels "divine" celebrating 13 years with you

Only a few online scale modeling shops have reached this age, and fewer are the daredevil pilots who took the risk of racing with number 13 sticker on their cars. Among them, only one woman who bravely fought to get his spot in a male dominated world, Divina Galica, a British pilot racing for qualifying and finally compete at the Formula 1. This week we bring her appealing Surtees edited by This Way Up in 1/43 scale.

And another reason to celebrate: the huge amount of new products with the Porsche logo this week... definitely the Boss' sweet spot!! :-OOOO Studio27 brings us the Porsche 919 kit in 1/24 scale racing last year at Le Mans... that's a gorgeous decoration! Fujimi also brings to the party another Porsche racing and winning at Le Mans, but in 1971: the 917K. Spectacular!!!

We all love that, after finishing their assembly, our kits look awesome... right? The incredible thing is that, starting today, your kits will look awesome... even before you build them! We can't build your kits, but at least we are going to wrap them in the coolest possible way: here is the new SpotModel packaging!! Cool, isn't it?

And talking about "awesome looking kits" and "even before", we FINALLY have one of the coolest... even before it hits the markets! Also starting today, you can now preorder the long-awaited Volkswagen Polo R WRC by Belkits in 1/24 scale. Although the official launch date will be early August, make sure you book yours now because... they are going to fly off the shelves!!

Equally spectacular are the Lec and the Surtees TS7 by This Way Up, finally in 1/43 scale and in a limited and numbered edition, along with another novelty: a decal set of dials for 1/43 scale models. Brilliant AND competitive...

It's hard to be both brilliant and competitive at the same time, but the world famous Australian bike pilot Wayne Gardner got to be brilliant in the late 80s and early 90s over his competitive ride by the Honda factory team. He won his first race in the Spanish circuit of Jarama, and reached the World Championship in 1987. A few weeks ago we introduced the Honda NSR500 kit by Hasegawa he rode in 1989, and now we bring the brilliant detail sets by Top Studio for this beauty: a chain set, a front fork and the full detail-up set.

Japan manufacturers, the most brilliant and competitive in the scale modeling world without any doubts, delights us with new decals and some reeditions. By Sunko Models: decals for Dakar Rally Peugeot 405, DTM Opel Calibra V6, Kankkunen and Auriol's Celicas of 1993 and 1994, Carlos Checa and John Kocinski decals for the 1998 NSR, Sainz's Celica at the '92 Safari Rally, and the gorgeous Toyota Supra GT sponsored by Marlboro, all of them for the old Tamiya kits.

Waves...

Surfing the summer waves, we bring you this week Wave Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of modelling accessories, including a few essential plastic and metal materials for scratch building and detailing.

We have started adding their plastic-made pipe ranges in several different diameters, both hollow and solid, as well as their brass-made metallic hollow pipes, perfectly fitting one on each other.

As a child!!!

No, we've not moved into Gundam We are civil vehicles scale modelers, we love building scale models, and we enjoy our obsession for reaching top realism, top precision, excellence in every detail, perfection. But... what if just for one time we enjoyed it just like children, building without rules, anarchically, just for pure fun, doing anything we wanted each time and letting our imagination run wild? I'm sure we would get the funniest results

I can perfectly picture the Revell BMW i8 turned into a transformer, proudly showing off all the new Zero Paints colors: his original ones (Crystal White, Ionic Silver, Sophisto Grey) and the ones which doesn't belong to it (kevlar, aluminum, Erdbeerrot), painting a lot more with our favorites ) Watch those firing fingers!!!

The new decals by Shunko Models are incredibly cool, and the solution to bring back to life some of your old Tamiya kits: Ducati 888, FW07, FW13B, CLK-GTR D2, Jordan J191. But among all of them, my true favorite are the B192 decals by Tabu, including eeeevery blue camel logo. It has so many that you can even split them with your friends

Sparks!!!

When you really like something, you feel a little spark lightning inside of you, right? Well, this week we bring you nothing less than seventeen products that are really on fire

Going back to the future...

October 21st, 2015: today is the day Marty McFly land in the future. Exactly TODAY, the star of "Back to the Future 2" film gets to our present after traveling in time. Imagine if you could buy aaaaall 1985 scale models today, or if you could have traveled in time in 1985 and buy at SpotModel all 2015 kits!!:D

We have jumped in time with McFly in our own way, and lots of treasures from the past have arrived to our warehouse: Studio27 decals, most of them so discontinued that will make your eyes moist with the excitement of the reunion, for the BMW M3 at 1992 JTCC, Nissan R89C at JSPC, Porsche 962C at 1990 WSPC, Catalonia Rally 2000 winner Lancer Evo VI WRC, and the mighty Lotus 49. And into the Delorean trunk, right next to the Flux capacitor, Shunko Models left us as a gift even more reedited decals for several kits from the past: the Civic Mugen, both Tamiya and Hasegawa versions, and the Toyota Supra by Tamiya.

Condroz!!!

This weekend took place the 42nd edition of the Condroz Rally, the last stage of the always complicated Rally championship taking place in Belgium. Lots of Citroën DS3 and C4 WRC, many Ford Fiesta, a few Skoda Fabia WRC and several Mitsubishi Lancer EVO took part in this stage, and all of them looking absolutely gooooooooorgeous. We can't wait for all those decoration decals
